Chapter 2A
Transcript
In front of a door with an 'OPEN' sign in the window, a group of people stand around and talk about their plans. One says 'Now, obviously we can't tell my dad about Garden Guardians stuff, so...'
As she goes to open the door, another says 'Wait, we're going to lie to him?!' The first person responds 'Well, kind of...'
As the scene goes on, these people are revealed to be the Garden Guardians A-team — Natsu and her friends when they were teenagers. Cass says 'Fiadh! Stop laughing!' But Fiadh says 'I'm sorry! I can't!'
Natsu places her hand on Cass' shoulder for resassurance and says 'Don't worry! Just follow my lead.'
The trio enter the flower shop, where Natsu's father is assembling a bunch of flowers. Natsu says 'Hi Dad!'
Natsu's father turns around and smiles. He says 'Welcome home.'
Natsu asks her father a question. 'Is it OK if my friends come over so we can all... do our homework?' She looks nervous as she asks, but not as nervous as Cass.
Natsu's father quickly agrees. He says 'Sure. There are snacks in the fridge.'
The trio all smile at each other and quickly move to go upstairs. Natsu says 'Thank you, Dad!' and then to her friends 'Come on, let's go!'
The scene transitions to the present day, where adult Natsu is staring at the closed door.
The sign in the shop window reads 'CLOSED.' Natsu stares into space.
Someone seems to be talking, but she doesn't notice until they call her name.
'Natsu?' It's Pollen. He asks her 'Is everything alright?' Natsu smiles at him and says 'I'm fine.'
She then grabs her apron off the counter and tells Pollen 'Come on. It's time to open then shop.'
